The Iceman Hockey School coaching staff has developed age specific practice plans to teach the kids skills they need to be better hockey players. We introduce the puck into these situations as early as possible depending on the level.

The process for the practice plans is:

  1. Explain and demonstrate the technical skill.
  2. Use drills to practice the skill slowly.
  3. Build tactical competence by using up-tempo competitive drills that focus on using the skill to gain a competitive advantage.
  4. Use small games to practice the skill in a competitive situation.
  5. Repeat selected tactical drills as warm-up at the start of the next practice.

Curious about what we do for 20 hours on the ice? Take a look at our practice plans:

Peewee / U12

The practice plans for the fall programs are currently under review and will be posted ASAP.

(They have to be adapted to fit the fall schedule.)
